Chanell Wright

General Manager


Chanell Wright transitioned into hospitality after beginning her career in the restaurant industry.  Chanell spent her time working in each facet of hotel operations. She is very driven and goal oriented which has allowed her to achieve much success.  She spent time as Director of Sales where she made a profound impact on the bottom line.  She now serves as General Manager and has been an essential part of the company’s growth.

Victor Merino 

Assistant General Manager


Victor Merino was born in El Salvador and raised in Maryland. Victor began his career in hospitality in Front office Operations at the Hilton Executive Meeting Center Hotel in Rockville, MD. Finding such a large interest in hospitality, he decided to move to Houston, Texas to join Hilton America’s Finance team where he transitioned to become an Area Accounting Manager and oversaw both the Hilton & Marriott Houston North. Victor became Director of Operations at the Bevy Hotel and now serves as Assistant General Manager.

Rafael Yoc 

Executive Chef


Chef Rafael Yoc, born and raised in Guatemala by his sister Silvia, is a strong culinary leader that came to this country in 1988 with help of his sister Isabel. His only goal in mind was to be successful in order to support his family back home. He started as a dishwasher under the Swiss Chef François Maeder, who then passed down his experience in French Culinary Arts. After stepping out of the French culinary kitchen, Chef Rafael Yoc went to work under Italian-American Chef Guy Fanelli, who gave him the opportunity to keep growing and led him to the position as Executive Chef.

Being influenced by his two mentors, Chef Rafael Yoc loves cooking with French, Italian, and Latino infusions. On every plate created, he keeps in mind his family and his passion to be the very best. 

Apart from cooking, Chef Rafael Yoc has a passion for other forms of art. He has created chocolate, butter, fruit, and bread sculptures for various events. He even participated in gingerbread sculpture competitions to help a fundraiser for the children’s museum.

After working on private country clubs and opening Italian restaurants in the San Antonio area, he went to work at Hilton properties and discovered a passion for hospitality. Chef Rafael Yoc has now worked for Hilton properties for 9 years.  He now shares his culinary passion as Executive Chef at The Bevy Hotel.

Bob Amit Amrane 

Director of Food & Beverage


Bob Amit Amrane is from Algeria, Africa and is also fluent in French, Spanish and English. He has a wide variety of food and beverage experience over the past 10 years, including Italian restaurants, hospitality, and private clubs. His extensive wine knowledge allows him to provide a dynamic experience for guests. Bob also has years of experience in banquet catering which allows him to deliver a unique experience for large events.  In 2017 he was awarded San Antonio Pineapple award from the San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association. Bob serves as our Director of Food & Beverage and continues to elevate our Food and Beverage program. 

Bernice Sanchez

Director of Housekeeping


Berenice Sanchez has more than 10 years of experience managing guest room operations for hospitality properties while providing optimal customer service. She is a strategic team builder with a successful history of analytical and expedient approach to problem solving. With the experience of working at many properties under her belt, she is now Director of Housekeeping.

Azucena Hernandez

Front Office Manager


Azucena was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico.  She graduated from the Universidad del Valle de Mexico in Monterrey with a degree in International Business Administration in Culinary Arts with a certification in Hotel Operations from GLION Switzerland.  She began her career in hospitality in 2012 as an intern at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island in Florida as a part of her career program.  She fell in love with the hospitality industry and traveled to Dubai to work as an intern at the Ritz Carlton in 2015.  She joined the Hilton family in 2016 working at the Hampton Inn by Hilton back in Piedras Negras where she started as Front Desk Manager and later transitioned into Sales Manager.  She worked as Sales Manager for Destination Company in Los Cabos where she was responsible for VIP customers.  She now works as Front Office Manager at the Bevy Hotel and ensures guests are greeted with a warm welcome!

Catherine Mooney

Events and Catering Manager


Catherine was born and raised in Boerne, Texas.  She began her hospitality career at the Bevy Hotel in 2019 where she began working at the front desk.  Catherine became a valued team member wanting to grow her career in hospitality.  She transitioned into a sales administration role and was then promoted to Events and Catering Manager.  Catherine is passionate about creating memorable events for our guests and enjoys working with people.  Whether it’s a small meeting or a grand gala, she will ensure your time is meaningful and unforgettable while at the Bevy!

Daniel Martinez

Director of Engineering


Daniel Martinez grew up in San Antonio, Texas and started his hospitality journey in 1996. He has a passion for helping others and working in a team environment which has kept him in hospitality all these years. As Director of Engineering, Daniel ensures the properties are safe and in top condition allowing our guests to enjoy their stay.  One thing he enjoys is when guest recognize him by name. He will always go out of his way to ensure a positive experience for our guests.
